Mazkur maqolada qoidalarga asoslangan mashina tarjimasi (RBMT)ning lingvistik va metodologik asoslari tadqiq etilgan. RBMT tizimlarining ishlash tamoyillari, strukturaviy va grammatik qoidalardan foydalanish xususiyatlari, mavjud cheklovlari hamda yangi predmet sohalariga moslashish muammolari yoritilgan. Shuningdek, bevosita, transferga asoslangan va interlingva mashina tarjimasi yondashuvlarining o‘ziga xos jihatlari qisqacha tavsiflangan.
