This paper examines the effect of pre-sowing seed treatment with a Rhizobium inoculant on plant growth, root nodule formation, yield components, and grain yield of mung bean (Vigna radiata (L.) R. Wilczek) varieties planted as a second crop after winter wheat in the irrigated meadow-bog soil conditions of the Fergana region. Seed inoculation can serve to activate symbiotic nitrogen fixation in legumes, partially reduce the need for mineral nitrogen, and improve plant nutrition in double-cropping systems. Results showed that variants treated with “Rhizobium” exhibited a higher number of active nodules, more pods per plant, and greater grain yield compared to the control. The figures in the table and diagram are sample calculations for the abstract draft and must be replaced with actual field experiment data in the final scientific publication.
