This article examines the influence of psycholinguistic factors on the formation and development of pragmatic features in children’s speech. It explores the role of such factors as perception, thinking, memory, attention, emotional state, communicative needs, social experience, and the ability to understand an interlocutor’s intentions in the pragmatic development of children’s speech. The article also analyzes how children select linguistic units appropriate to a particular communicative situation and use speech acts to express communicative purposes such as addressing someone, making a request, giving a command, asking a question, refusing, agreeing, and evaluating. The study argues that children’s pragmatic competence is not limited to knowledge of linguistic units; it is also defined by their ability to use them appropriately in relation to the social situation, interlocutor, and communicative purpose. The article substantiates the importance of psycholinguistic factors in shaping pragmatic meaning and communicative effectiveness in children’s speech. These points can be illustrated through the works of To‘xtaxon Rahimova.
