ISSUES OF DETERMINING OWNERSHIP RIGHTS OVER AI-GENERATED OBJECTS

This article analyzes the contemporary issues of determining copyright and ownership over objects generated by artificial intelligence (AI), including documents, programs, art, and designs. In the digital age, AI systems are capable of autonomously producing creative outputs, which necessitates a re-evaluation of traditional legal norms. The article comparatively examines various approaches in the legislation of the USA, the European Union, China, and Uzbekistan. Specifically, it discusses the principle in the copyright law of the Republic of Uzbekistan that a work must be created through the creative labor of a natural person, alongside international experiences in assigning property rights to AI or its creators. Furthermore, issues of liability, plagiarism, and legal gaps arising from the commercial and legal use of AI technologies are highlighted, and proposals for future legal solutions are put forward.
