this article examines, from a scientific-analytical perspective, the conceptual, legal and practical foundations of New Uzbekistan’s strategic cooperation with international organizations, in particular with UNESCO, within the framework of the country’s development strategy. The study assesses, through comparative-statistical and document analysis, the mechanisms of safeguarding cultural and natural heritage sites, inscribing intangible cultural heritage elements on international lists, reforming the education system, the activities of UNESCO chairs, and strengthening the country’s “soft power” potential. The 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference held in Samarkand and the global initiatives put forward within the framework of the “Spirit of Samarkand” are considered as the central focus of the article. The author proposes practical recommendations on proportional distribution of projects across regions and on improving the monitoring system.
