Abstract

This paper examines the development of productive vocabulary in B1 students through listening to podcasts in Russian language classes. It substantiates the methodological value of authentic audio material for activating vocabulary, developing verbal responses, and transferring new words into oral utterances. The paper proposes stages of working with podcasts, types of exercises, and criteria for selecting audio texts. It emphasizes that the systematic use of podcasts enhances student motivation, autonomy, and the communicative focus of learning in the digital educational environment of a modern university and blended learning format
