Abstract

This article discusses the practical and methodological mechanisms for developing analytical and creative thinking of students of the economic field in the conditions of higher education in Uzbekistan through systematic analysis and integration of STEM/STEAM approaches. A STEM-integrated module based on the “problem-information-model-alternative solution-argument/reflection” cycle, project-research tasks, case method, scenario modeling, and data-driven analysis techniques are proposed. The structure of the educational module (in tabular form), the methodology for assessing analytical and creative thinking (instruments, criteria, tests, and rubrics) and recommendations for its implementation in higher education institutions are also provided (Lex.uz, 2019; Lex.uz, 2020).
