This scientific article analyzes the right of citizens to receive legal aid as an integral part of human rights and a guarantee of fair trial. The study examines the theoretical-legal foundations of this right, its place in international and national normative documents, as well as the level of its provision in Uzbekistan's practice through an analytical approach. Based on data from international organizations such as the UN, UNDP, OECD, and World Justice Project, the international standards of the legal aid institution and their compatibility with the national system are compared. The article highlights the expansion of legal aid centers' activities in Uzbekistan, the strengthening of the advocacy institution, and the processes of digitizing legal services. At the conclusion of the study, scientific-practical proposals are developed for further improving the legal aid system, adapting international experience to national practice, and expanding citizens' opportunities to access justice.
