This paper analyzes the economic nature and specific characteristics of mega-investment projects in the mining and metallurgical industry, as well as the key factors influencing their effectiveness. The study highlights the capital-intensive nature, long-term implementation period, high risk level, and strong dependence on global market conditions. Furthermore, financial, technological, and institutional factors affecting project efficiency are examined in an integrated manner. The results justify the need to diversify financing sources, implement modern project management approaches, and expand ESG-based financial mechanisms to improve project performance.
