This paper highlights the biological characteristics, distribution, adaptation to ecological conditions, and significance in agriculture and medicinal plant science of plants belonging to the genus *Phlomoides*. Studying plants of the *Phlomoides* genus is crucial for preserving biodiversity, ensuring the rational use of beneficial plant species, and identifying opportunities for their domestication.
