Abstract

Information regarding certain representatives of the genus Phlomoides (family Lamiaceae) and their medicinal properties is summarized. The biological diversity, natural distribution, and use in folk medicine of Phlomoides species are highlighted. Additionally, the prospects of these plants as sources of biologically active substances are examined.
