This article analyzes the reflection of feminism in contemporary English literature, its main features, and the development of female characters. The study examines the historical stages of the development of feminism, the key concepts of feminist literary theory, and the representation of gender equality issues in modern English literature. In addition, a comparative analysis of female characters in classical and modern literature is conducted, highlighting that in contemporary works women are portrayed as independent, active, and complex individuals. The results of the study confirm that the role of feminism in literature is steadily increasing and contributes to the development of gender equality ideas in society.
