FACIAL EXPRESSIONS IN TURKISH LANGUAGES AND THEIR SIMILARITIES AND DIFFERENCES

This article analyzes the linguistic representation of facial expressions in Turkic languages, its similarities and differences. The study comparatively studies lexical units, phraseologisms and metaphors expressing facial expressions in Uzbek, Turkish, Kazakh, Kyrgyz and Tatar languages. The article highlights the fact that the words expressing the main emotions have a common Turkic root, as well as the differences that have arisen under the influence of cultural and historical factors. In addition, the figurative representation of facial expressions in different languages and their communicative functions are considered. The results of the study reveal the typological similarities of Turkic languages, as well as their national and cultural characteristics.
