This thesis examines the cognitive-semantic and linguocultural characteristics of the phenomenon of “courage.” Courage is interpreted not merely as a personal trait denoting the absence of physical fear, but as a complex conceptual and axiological phenomenon shaped at the intersection of thought, language, and culture. The study explores the semantic structure of the concept of “courage,” its core and peripheral features, and its conceptual relationships with notions such as “bravery,” “fortitude,” “determination,” “self-sacrifice,” “heroism,” “honor,” and “patriotism.” Particular attention is also paid to the metaphorical conceptualization of courage, its national and cultural significance, and the specific ways in which it manifests itself in Uzbek linguoculture.
