The distribution, bio-ecological characteristics, and extent of damage caused by the San Jose scale (Diaspidiotus perniciosus Comst.) were studied in cherry orchards across the Yakkabag, Shahrisabz, and Karshi districts of the Kashkadarya region. Research was conducted on six cherry varieties, analyzing the pest's morphology, overwintering, reproduction, and larval dispersal. The damage level was primarily rated at 1 point. The study highlighted the necessity of regular pest monitoring and the timely implementation of protective measures.
