Abstract

Today, the machine-building industry is one of the key manufacturing sectors that is rapidly adopting modern technologies. The quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of machines and mechanisms largely depend on how their design processes are organized. Traditional design methods, which involve manually preparing drawings, calculating dimensions, and making structural modifications, have been time-consuming. Such processes have also been more susceptible to various errors caused by human factors.Currently, computer-aided design systems, known as CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technologies, are widely used to address these challenges. CAD systems enable engineers to create two-dimensional drawings and three-dimensional models of machine parts, modify their geometric parameters, develop assemblies, and automatically generate technical documentation. The automated design of machine parts helps improve production efficiency, reduce design time, and enhance product quality. Therefore, proficiency in CAD software is considered one of the essential professional competencies for modern design engineers.
