Abstract

The article analyses chromosome conjugation at metaphase I of meiosis and biomorphological traits in F₄ hybrid families obtained with the participation of G. barbadense L. cultivars (Angor, Surkhon-14, Iloton, T-2005, T-2017). Most families showed 26 closed bivalents, indicating high meiotic stability; in three plants, one from each combination, 25 closed and one open bivalent were found. The combinations were almost identical in stem height and differed in the number of nodes, fruiting branches, petals and boll locules.
