CLASSIFICATION OF THE ARTISTIC DEVICE OF TALMEH IN POETIC SOURCES

This article provides a classification and analysis of the talmeh (literary allusion), one of the artistic devices used in poetry, based on its definitions and interpretations found in poetic sources. It examines the specific features of the use of talmeh in classical Uzbek poetry of the 13th–14th centuries, as well as its artistic and functional significance. According to its functions in poetic texts, the talmeh device is systematically classified into different types, including religious, historical, literary, legendary, and Sufi allusions, with their respective semantic and artistic functions presented schematically in a table.
