The article analyzes the defensive tactics employed by Amir Timur’s army, the methods used to ensure security during troop movements, and the depiction of defensive measures in historical sources. It also examines the organization of the army's defense based on “Timur's Institutes” (Temur Tuzuklari) and the works of Nizam al-Din Shami, Sharaf al-Din Ali Yazdi, Ghiyath al-Din Ali, Ibn Arabshah, Ruy González de Clavijo, and other sources.
