EFFECTS OF DIFFERENT PLANTING DATES AND MINERAL FERTILIZER RATES ON THE YIELD OF COTTON

This article investigates the effects of different planting dates and mineral fertilizer application rates on cotton yield. The experiments evaluated three different planting dates and various application rates of NPK fertilizers. The research findings demonstrated that planting date and mineral fertilizer rates had a significant influence on cotton growth, development, and yield formation. The highest yield was obtained from planting during April 5-10, where the application of N230P160K115 t/ha-1 for medium-fiber cotton varieties and N250P175K125 t/ha-1 for fine-fiber cotton varieties produced yields ranging from 41.8 to 44.0 centners per hectare 4.18-4.40 t/ha-1.
