Abstract

This article analyzes the concepts of loyalty and betrayal as complex moral, psychological and cultural phenomena of the human mind. The study covers the theoretical essence of these concepts, forms of manifestation in social and personal contexts, typological classification and artistic expression in literary works. Based on examples of Uzbek and Russian literature, the moral, ideological, emotional and patriotic criteria of the images of loyalty and betrayal are revealed. Also, the article shows the inextricable connection of these concepts with national thinking, language units and cultural values, based on a linguistic and gender approach.
