This thesis provides a comparative analysis of the linguocultural features of clothing lexicon in English and Uzbek. Clothing names are interpreted not only as simple lexical units denoting household needs, but also as cultural symbols reflecting the lifestyle, aesthetic views, social status, national mentality and value system of the people. The study reveals the semantic and linguocultural aspects of traditional, modern, gender-related and socio-status clothing units in English and Uzbek.
