CRITICISM OF TOTALITARIAN SOCIETY IN THE WORKS OF GEORGE ORWELL IN A MODERN CONTEXT

This article analyzes the critique of totalitarian society in the works of George Orwell and its interpretation in the modern context. The study examines the main features of the totalitarian system in Orwell’s 1984 and Animal Farm, including constant surveillance, propaganda, restriction of freedom of speech and thought, and the distortion of truth. In addition, these ideas are comparatively analyzed with modern information society, showing that Orwell’s warning concepts remain relevant in today’s digital age. The results of the study confirm that Orwell’s works have not only literary but also significant socio-political importance.
