THE ROLE OF CULTURAL AND SOCIAL CONTEXT IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF VERBAL COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE

The thesis comprehensively analyzes the role of cultural and social context in the development of verbal communicative competence. The main focus of the study is on the mechanisms of interaction of language, culture and social experience in the process of human verbal communication and their impact on the communicative potential of the individual. Verbal communicative competence requires a person to be speech, semantic, pragmatic and culturally flexible. From this point of view, cultural context is a set of social values, norms, speech etiquette and symbolic systems expressed in a person's speech, which forms the content of the communicative process. Social context determines the individual's social position, roles, status in a social group, and ability to choose strategies appropriate to the communication situation.
