The article analyzes the conceptual and semantic foundations of spell-related units. Spells are considered as an expression of human irrational thinking and sacred culture. The meanings of words such as “charm”, “incantation”, “spell”, “curse” in English are studied linguistically. The study highlights the cultural, spiritual and ritual content of spell-related units.
