MODERN APPROACHES TO MAPPING AND ABLATION OF COMPLEX ARRHYTHMOGENIC FOCI IN IDIOPATHIC VENTRICULAR ARRHYTHMIAS

The success of catheter ablation in the treatment of idiopathic ventricular arrhythmias depends directly on the anatomical location of the arrhythmogenic focus and its depth within the myocardial wall. Studies have shown that ablation is highly effective for superficially located foci, such as those in the right ventricular outflow tract (RVOT). However, arrhythmias originating from the papillary muscles, the left ventricular apex, or intramural locations pose significant technical challenges in terms of mapping and energy delivery. This article analyzes the impact of mapping techniques and ablation strategies specific to different anatomical regions on clinical outcomes.
