PRELIMINARY DATA ON THE INTRODUCTION AND BIOECOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF LYCIUM BARBARUM L. IN THE FERGANA VALLEY

This article analyzes the introduction of Lycium barbarum L., commonly known as goji berry, a medicinal and food crop belonging to the family Solanaceae Juss., under the conditions of Uzbekistan. The study examines the main stages of the introduction process, as well as the bioecological characteristics of the species. Particular attention is given to the preliminary findings of the acclimatization of L. barbarum under the environmental and climatic conditions of the Fergana Valley.
