The scientific article analyzes the morphological characteristics of lexical units borrowed from Arabic into English, the stages of their entry into the language system, and the process of integration. Also, the phonetic and morphological adaptation of Arabisms in English, in particular, the role of the article "al-", is scientifically covered.
